The one with the Hedgehog

We got an order for a 3 Layer, Single Tier cake for a kids birthday party. The order wanted a video game character: Sonic the Hedgehog. It is crazy how Sonic has made it's way back into popular culture, I remember playing Sonic on the Sega genesis with my dad as a kid, We made the icing with buttercream an used a star tip to pipe on the grass and checkered brown pattern to help mimic that "8-bit" texture. The cake came out great and was a great way to level up this birthday party.
